We offer all year round professional cricket coaching in an enjoyable, safe and friendly environment for children and adults of all ages and levels of experience from complete beginners to seniors and professional cricketers.
All our coaches are CSA qualified and our senior coaches are former international and first class cricketers. We aim to provide a coaching experience which focuses on developing talent, enhancing life skills and improving fitness. We want every person that comes to SA Academy to have a positive experience, feel welcome and part of our cricketing family, and most importantly to enjoy training and games!
Our overall focus is one of individual attention and the creation of lasting relationships between coach/player and coach/parents in an effort to maximise any potential that a young cricketer might possess. It is our intention to bring about a love of the game which will see our cricketers continuing their cricket participation well after school cricket is forgotten.
Cricket speaks a universal language, which breaks down barriers and cuts through income and ethnic divides. It is this belief in the power of cricket to positively change young lives, which has motivated me to be the custodian of the game. Quality Coaching and Coaching Methodologies should be available at grass roots level to be able to develop the next generation of cricket talent. Consequently, we have invested significantly in the training, resourcing and performance management of coaches. Our aim is to create a professional environment and deliver high quality sessions for participants to learn and develop their cricket ability. The Cricket Academy offers an exclusive cricket pathway, an integrated cricket development program with a well defined and progressive road map and mentorship. As a child progresses academically; their cricket development should also progress in parallel. Apart from skill development, our sessions involve game scenarios and problem solving situations. This creates an environment where participants can learn and fast track their cricket development. Our Cricket Education Program has a strong focus on the effective development of cricket, leadership skills, the fostering of team work, cooperation and pursuit of excellence. The playing conditions of our program reinforce this focus through innovative, age relevant and modern match formats. Besides quality cricket coaching, emphasis is placed on game preparation and playing performance. Within a year, our junior players aged between 9-13 years would have played a minimum of 100 games. Cricket Tours: are part of the program so as to have an intensive game-time and touring experience. Through my experiences I know that if you want to create better cricketers you need to push the boundaries of the traditional approach to youth cricketer’s development and coaching.
